Both expansions have a plotline and main questline, but the Isle of Armor's is a bit thin. The Crown Tundra's storyline and quests are much more in-depth and will you keep occupied much longer, as well as allowing you to use your brain a bit, unlike the Dojo questline.

Unlike the base game, though, Isle of Armor does not change its weather patterns on the first of each month. Instead weather changes on the 15th of every month, which will always be a specific type of weather.

The only scaling Isle of Armor does is a check to see if you've beaten the game. If you've already done that, then you've reached the end of the level scaling for IoA. Neither is particularly long.
