Are 6 cores enough for gaming?

Generally speaking, six cores is usually considered optimal for gaming in 2021. Four cores can still cut it but would hardly be a future-proof solution. Eight or more cores might provide performance improvement, but all this depends mainly on how a particular game is coded and what GPU the CPU would be paired with it.

Has far cry 6 won game of the year?
Gamers are used to titles receiving a "Game of the Year" re-release which typically bundles in some DLC. Far Cry 6 has received its own Game of the Year Edition, though some gamers find this quite strange because the game hasn't won any major game of the year awards.

Is 6 cores enough for virtual machines?
Microsoft recommends using one core per virtual machine. Depending on the application running, we have experienced the need to run up to two cores per virtual machine (e.g. in the case of remote desktop services for a SQL-based ERP system).

Is civ 6 base game enough?
Base gameplay is very good. I have both R&F and GS, and like the additional stuff, but it is not necessary to enjoy the game - as others have said, the expansions expand the game, they don't make it complete.

Is 6 cores 12 threads enough for gaming?
Depends on the games you play. For example Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn't work well with a CPU like that, 6 cores and 12 threads is the minimum (but 8 cores is best), and I expect more games like that to be coming out soon. Note that's just for running the game.
